Ride More & Talk Less!
15 JanWe're starting the year with some great news: Ride Snowboards Europe has joined the Young Creative Chevrolet 2010 judging panel for the Visual Arts category.
Just before the Christmas Holidays, we caught up with Wolfgang Buchwieser, European Sales & Marketing Manager RIDE Snowboards, to gain some valuable insight into the company and his thoughts on Young Creative Chevrolet.
Which major factors played a role in Ride deciding to join Young Creative Chevrolet as a jury member?
Ride Snowboards rely on a strong base of very creative people. From artists like Art Chantry, Aron Draplin to engineers like Peter Pontano. Creativity has ever since been a driving force. Being part of the jury and thereby supporting young creativity is an honor.
What's Ride's philosophy and why an association with Young Creative Chevrolet?
Ride is a creative and passionate leader in design and technology. We have the knowledge, power and own the tools to transform new ideas and inspirations into functional products. We depend on a close relationship to – yes, good guess – young creativity.
Have you / Ride previously been part of a jury panel?
Ride Snowboards has been running an annual board-design contest for some years now. So kind of yes, I have been part of a jury before.
Which exciting new projects are you working on now; what is up next at Ride?
So many different things! We have artist collaborations coming up with Spacecraft Studio from Seattle, our secret limited DH2 artist board-collabos, we introduce Hempbrain topsheets to save the planet and more. Another big thing is the ISPO-tradeshow. We are working on the new booth design right now. It will be a head-turner for sure!
