Counting down to the European final
09 Jun
Dear YCC students, professors, jury members and fans,
Well, the 2010 entries have been submitted and all national juries have met, deliberated and chosen their winners. All that remains is for the European jury to select their overall favourites and that will happen in just ten days from now.
Again this year, myself and everyone involved in the contest was so impressed with the quality of the projects submitted. It’s hard to believe but each year our expectations are surpassed as the standards keep getting better and better. The students have really done themselves proud.
For the first time in the history of Young Creative Chevrolet, we are handing over some of the responsibility for deciding the outcome to the public in the form of an online vote. It started last week and is proving to be very popular; currently, the Chevrolet Europe office is abuzz with discussions on which the favourites are. YCC students, believe me, you have acquired many fans!
The European jury will meet in Zolder, Belgium, on June 19 to make their final selection. I know that they have such a hard time ahead of them trying to pick the European winners but picking from such a good selection of creative work is one of the best types of problem to have.
This year, the top three winners in each discipline will be rewarded with an invite to a very special event. I can’t reveal too much about it right now as the arrangements are still top secret. All that I can say is that it will be in the presence of a famous haute couture designer in one of Europe’s most glamorous cities – mark your calendars for September 29 just in case!
Until the next time,
Florence
