The 2010 season of the Young Creative Chevrolet design competition was officially launched in Hungary in February. Design and applied art students, their professors, school representatives and lifestyle media journalists filled the premises of the one and only Lanchid 19 Design Hotel in Budapest.
New UK jury member, 26-year old artist Ian Cook, has been busy lately adding his own splash of colour to the launch of the Chevrolet Spark. Ian creates his images by driving remote control cars and rolling used car tyres through acrylic paint. So far, he has created over 40 individual car artworks, and not one has seen a paintbrush.
When taking a trip down memory lane this morning and searching through our archives, we came across this video from the Young Creative Chevrolet award ceremony in Paris in 2007. My name is Florence Camenzind and I've been in charge of Young Creative Chevrolet since the very beginning. When I had the original idea for the contest in 2007, I would have never thought it would develop into something this great.

Stickers to customize the Spark were designed by twelve students from the Media Design Hochschule in Berlin, Germany during an intense and creative two day workshop for young art students organized by Chevrolet. The 13 designs resulting from the workshop were displayed in Berlin during the Spark of Fashion Night.
Chevrolet offered the winners in each discipline the opportunity to participate in a witness trip and discover Chevrolet »behind the scenes« and experience Professionals in their field at work.
